Extraction Grade Propane is one of the most common solvents for hydrocarbon extraction. Propane has its benefits over butane. One of the most important is that it has a lower boiling point that butane, making it quicker and easier to recover than butane. This means it requires less heating and vacuum to be applied in the recovery process.
Propane also helps preserve the more volatile cannabinoid and terpenes, providing a more robust plant extract.
High-Purity Extraction Grade Propane has a boiling point of -43.6°F or -42°C, which is lower than Butane. This allows for quicker solvent recovery and higher terpene preservation.
